Today I made Amanda wake up and go make a wreath with me. (Thank you Pearl) The Florence Herb Enthusiasts group always has fun stuff to do, and today it was wreath making. For just 5 bucks they had wreath forms, fresh greens and wire. I added some dried hydrangeas and a little bird (yes, everything I make has bird, lol) It’s too windy outside for the hydrangeas to survive, so I hung it in my living room and hopefully it doesn’t dry out too quickly. It smells so good… just like a Christmas.

Fabric Wall Hangings
Wednesday, November 18th, 2009I started making these fabric wall hangings this summer as something that could showcase my photos of the beaches, as mementos for the touring customers in the gallery and I was hoping to sell the 3 or 4 more that I made. I had no idea that they would take off as well as they did, and now I’m having trouble keeping up :) Somehow between finishing my bowl for the Empty Bowls bennifet and making thanksgiving dinner, I need to sew some more for the gallery. This is a peek at a few… I paint the background fabric, print my photo on cotton and sew it on, then layer on goodies that I find on location.
The Bitch is Back
Friday, November 6th, 2009I just couldn’t resit using that…
Hellooooo everyone! I’m so happy to back on my blog. I took the summer off to bond with my puppy and get all comfy and cozy with Backstreet Gallery. I’m co-owner with 23 other amazing artists and I can honestly say they are my new family. I am so blessed to be among such a group of talented and nurturing artists. I’m serving as the interim Vice President also, which is pretty cool. If you are ever in Florence, please drop by and check us out :)
So fall is in full swing now… the rain is here and little Chewie is ready to go:

He’s all grown up now. He’s about a foot long and a foot tall and a whole lot of cute!
OK, so as I settle in, I’ll be playing catch up with photos from the summer till now and will be having all kinds of fun give-aways and projects. Stay tuned and thanks for hanging in with me!
